Cookie Policy

Version: 2026-04-18 Last updated: April 18, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Mentorio.me uses cookies and similar technologies on its website and application. It is complemented by the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, mobile, tablet) when you visit a website. They serve to remember information about your visit, such as your preferred language, the state of your session, or your consent preferences.

There are different technical variants:

  • First-party cookies: placed by the domain you visit (in our case, Mentorio.me).
  • Third-party cookies: placed by other domains embedded in the page (for example, Stripe on the checkout page).
  • Session cookies: deleted when the browser is closed.
  • Persistent cookies: remain on the device until their expiration date or until they are manually deleted.

European regulations (ePrivacy, GDPR) require consent for cookies that are not strictly necessary. Our cookie banner manages those preferences.

2. Categories of cookies we use

2.1 Necessary (always active)

Without these cookies the Platform cannot function. They do not require consent because they are essential to provide the service the user requests.

next-auth.csrf-tokenProtection against CSRF attacks on formsSession
NEXT_LOCALERemembers the chosen language (ES / EN / PT)1 year

2.2 Analytics (opt-in)

Currently we do not use analytics cookies. Our internal analytics system stores aggregated events directly in our database, without tracking cookies or persistent client-side identifiers. If in the future we introduce analytics cookies, they will only be activated after your explicit consent in the banner.

2.3 Marketing (opt-in)

Currently we do not use marketing cookies. We do not do behavioral advertising or remarketing with third parties. If this changes in the future, explicit consent will be required.

3. Third-party cookies

Some specific pages load third-party components that may place their own cookies:

Third partyWhen it appearsPurpose
StripeOn the payment checkout (/checkout/*)Payment processing, antifraud (Stripe Radar)
Cloudflare TurnstileOn registration and login formsAnti-abuse / anti-bot without invasive privacy
Daily.coIn the session video roomVideo functionality, connection diagnostics

These third parties are responsible for their own cookies. See their policies:

They are loaded only in the minimum necessary contexts (checkout, forms, video room) and are not activated on general navigation pages.

4. How to manage your preferences

4.1 Consent banner

The first time you visit Mentorio.me you will see a cookie banner where you can:

  • Accept all categories.
  • Reject the optional ones (only necessary ones remain active).
  • Customize by category.

4.2 "Cookie preferences" button

You may modify your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer or in your account profile.

4.3 Delete the consent cookie

If you delete the cc_cookie from the browser settings, the next visit will show you the banner again to choose from scratch.

5. Browser settings

Additionally, any browser allows you to control cookies globally: block all, allow only first-party, delete existing ones, etc. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the use of the Platform.
